The skills course taster days wouldn’t be possible if it wasn’t for the skills coaches giving up their time to offer their services to those wanting to attend.
The skills coaches are fully qualified instructors and mountain bike leaders as well as volunteers of the Gisburn Forest Trails Builders and regularly attend dig days to build new single track trails and maintain the existing routes. Who better to teach you how to ride at Gisburn Forest than the people that helped make the trails!
The event is organised by the Gisburn Forest Trails Builders volunteers, who are all members of PMBA (Pennine Mountain Bike Association) which represents a wide range of people, including our skills coaches, who help with mountain bike related issues in the local area. Issues such as trail building and event organising.
There will be 4 skills coaches. They will pair up for both the morning and the afternoon sessions meaning that session will have two groups. With two skills coaches for a maximum of 8 people per group, can be assured that you will be able to get plenty of skills tips when you attend a skills course taster day.
